OK, so now I can't even buy a freaking kombucha. So many things we can have, ring dings, blue freeze pops, fruit loops, pesticide ridden agribusiness fruits and vegetables, carbon monoxide coated meat, and the list goes on, but if you want a naturally brewed and fermented live cultured low sugar carbonated delicious drink, you are out of luck. I wonder who is behind this sudden rigor in the FDA, might Coke and Pepsi do well to see these small flourishing kombucha makers go under? Be very careful in the future because there is the possibility some makers will pasteurize the kombucha to even out the alcohol traces upon which the FDA-driven recall was based. Why anyone would buy it pasteurized I have no idea. The major health benefit is the live culture and natural probiotic which would be ruined. So, what? Instead of this wonderful digestion enhancing bev, mountain dew for everyone???
Pictured above, GT Dave's Cranberry Kombucha with fresh mint leaves. Those were the days...
P.S.
Actually, Mountain dew's US recipe is illegal in countries where there is a ban on added caffeine in soft drinks that are not cola based.
P.P.S. Can anyone find me a case of GT Dave's Trilogy? I can't get it on e-bay or amazon or anywhere.
